Customers rave about the crispy golden fish that’s cooked to perfection. The fish and chips combo is the showstopper, with generous portions that keep patrons coming back for more. The specially crafted red chili sauce also garners high praise—a must-try for those looking to elevate their meal.

The friendliness of the staff continually receives accolades, creating an inviting atmosphere that feels personal. Cleanliness in the dining space adds to a comfortable experience, making it an enjoyable spot to dine in or take out. Many visitors commend its family-friendly approach, especially the kid's menu that caters well to younger patrons.

Most Disliked

Some guests note that during peak hours, especially Friday nights, the wait time can stretch considerably, which is typical for popular spots. Others mention that the cozy shop can feel crowded, detracting slightly from the dining experience. A few patrons expressed disappointment in missing out on their preferred dish during busy service, indicating that having their favorites ran out by the time they ordered can be frustrating. Additional parking options could improve the accessibility for those coming from farther away, as street parking can sometimes be a challenge during rush hour.

I found this place by chance because it’s highly rated on Google Maps, so I decided to give it a try. I walked over 30 minutes in the crisp autumn weather and it was totally worth it. It’s a small street-side shop with a cozy vibe. The two male staff were very friendly and welcoming. I ordered a small fish & chips portion for just £13 — great value! The fish was crispy on the outside and firm and fresh inside. The chips were soft and buttery. Everything was served piping hot, which made it even more perfect for the chilly autumn weather. The sauces here are really good, especially the red chili sauce — so tasty! I love both the food and the atmosphere here. Definitely deserving of its high rating on Google. Highly recommend! 🐟🍟✨

Fish and chips were so amazing! This is for sure worth a stop especially if you want to get cod. Since we have some time to kill and this was quite close to our airport hotel we saw all the amazing reviews on Google so we decided to check this place out. The staff is super friendly and the food is so good!! Don’t forget to eat it with their special chili sauce.

Staying overnight at hotel near Heathrow and fancied a good fish and chips before leaving the UK. Happy google search pointed me in the right direction. First of all the fish and chips were excellent and freshly cooked by what I believe was the business owner. The cleanliness of the restaurant was excellent and the host was very friendly. I highly enjoyed my walk to the chippy

Loved the fish and chips from this place. We ordered one large and one regular fish, a large serving of chips, and mushy peas but the fish was so generous we had it for left overs and even then we were filled up! Will certainly return to this family business who have been in the trade for a while now.

Excellent Fish & Chips and Friendly Service – Highly Recommended in Kingston! I recently had the pleasure of dining at this lovely restaurant during my stay in Kingston, and I must say, it was a great experience. I ordered the fish and chips, and not only was the food delicious, but the portion size was generous and definitely worth the money. What truly stood out, though, was the service. The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and made me feel genuinely welcomed. It’s always nice to be treated with such warmth and professionalism. The location was also very convenient — just a short walking distance from my hotel, which made it an easy and pleasant stop for a meal. I highly recommend this place to anyone staying in or around the Kingston area. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this restaurant offers great value, tasty food, and a Definitely worth a visit!

The Doner, fish and chips were exceptionally well-prepared and flavorful. The portion size of the fries offers excellent value. The limited seating, comprising four single seats and one table for four, is the only notable constraint. We highly recommend this establishment.

Im here for one night due to a layover here, and wanted to come to the closet fish & chips location I could find. I saw this on my apple maps and jetted over here with the quickness from my Bed and Breakfast. I assumed it would be a full on restaurant, but it was not. That was actually a good thing because I had the place all to myself. Only 2-3 tables exist here, one table for four and the other for two I believe. The menu had a variety of fish from halibut to cod. I ordered the Cod with large chips and canned 7up, and boy was it a large plate of food for a good price. The service was phenomenal, with recommendations, smiles, and friendliness. The food was cooked fresh and tasted an excellent 9/10 (fried needed seasoning). From start to finish, Ill give this small eatery 4.8/5. Please stop by the Hot Spot Fish Bar and get you a plate!
